Andrea Mondo

Pizza Power

For the past 24 years Andrea Mondo has been making Neapolitan style Pizzas all over the world. Born in Catania, Sicily, were he started his first job as an assistant pizza baker “fornaio” back in 1998. This helped him develop an interest and passion for pizza, especially Neapolitan style pizza. Andrea worked in different parts in Italy as a pizza chef were he learned how to operate different type of ovens and all type of pizza styles. Afterwards he constantly traveled and worked in different parts of the world such as Denmark, Austria, Germany, Brazil and South Korea to expand his knowledge and enjoy the diverse cuisine and restaurant/ pizzeria options available there.
Andrea is now working in Tampa for over 8
years, letting Tampa Bay tasting a piece of his creativity in making pizza.

SILVIO BARLETTA

Chef

Chef Silvio loves the challenge of cooking for folks who’ve made commitments to eat authentic Italian food. He believes that it is one of the most earnest motivations for exercising creativity in the kitchen.

As a native Italian, born and raised in Calabria he resided in many parts of Italy and the US. He credits his culinary range to the great many teachers who have welcomed him into their kitchens throughout his journies.

He began his culinary career as a Chef with his Oncle who owns an Italian Restaurant in Connecticut. Now Silvio is in Tampa who will be cooking on the line at Spacca Napoli.
